Our vineyards are located on the hills of Mossano along 6 hectars, between woods and olive trees, in the South-East area of the Berici Hills – in the heart of the DOC area.
Our soils are mainly made of limestone and clay.
Our vines are in part old vines, and in part new ones that grow with different vine cultivation methods like double courtain and Guyot without any type of irrigation. We consider the vineyard the first and main step to produce quality wines: we have chosen organic fertilization, manual mowing of weeds, optimized management of plant diseases to ensure an excellent biodiversity.
This obviously implies daily attention and commitment throughout the seasons, to take action where needed and to be alert observers when the weather requires it.
Our production focuses on the most indigenous varieties such as the Tai Rosso (Tocai rosso), a flagship of these lands, the Garganega and the white Tai : all of these grapes represent for us identity, roots, value, the past and the future.
We still grow also the ancient, common and glorious Cabernet, Syrah and Merlot.
All the different stages are personally followed with great knowledge and innovation, by Enrico and Alessandro, from the vineyard care to the manual grapes harvest, from winemaking to the bottling with the goal of enhancing the indigenous varieties.
The characteristics of the grapes we grow, allow us to offer wines with different personalities. Modern winemaking technologies help us constantly progressing in what we do in addiction to the care and the attention essential for making quality wines while respecting the natural features of each grape.
The environmental care is also a primary aspect in our job. All the parts of the packaging are 100% recyclable from the glass bottle, the cork cap, the aluminium capsule, the natural paper for the labelling and even the box without the plastic film. On the premises there are also present a solar system for hot water and a photovoltaic system for green energy.
GREEN ENERGY:
A new photovoltaic system with storage, allows us to get closer to energy self-sufficiency and with a solar thermal system we heat the water with zero impact.
PACKAGING:
We chose to use lightweight glass bottles, aluminum capsules and self-locking boxes without plastic film so that everything is easily recyclable.
