    ROVEA

Rovea is our most mature Tai rosso that we make with grapes picked from a vineyard on the hills, where the soil has a volcanic origin. The fresh, fruity component and delicate body of the classic Tai Rosso are enriched here with structure and complexity with a late harvest, a longer maceration and aging in wood for about a year. On tasting it retains the characteristic notes of the grape variety so the pleasure of ripe small red fruits, violet, geranium, pepper. It is a wine of fine longevity to be appreciated even over time.

  • IN THE VINEYARD
    Guyot trained vines on tuffaceous clay soils located in the hilly area of ​​Mossano. The average production is 60 quintals \ ha with a yield of 70% in wine.
  • THE VINIFICATION
    The pressing allows to obtain wine and pomace. The wine is put in the oak barrels where it rests for 12 months. After this stage, the wine is ready for bottling and to spend other few months in bottle before to be perfect for taste. The pomace are used in the distillery to obtain Grappa.
  • THE WINE
    It's a full ruby red wine with a rich bouquet where you can appreciate cherry and raspberry notes, white pepper and violets. It’s warm and soft, with a sweet and delicate tannin, while lightly spicy. It is well balanced with a great longevity.
